Firestats and the Hilarious Comments

So I have been using this really nice statistics plug-in for my Wordpress installs, called FireStats.

I’ve enjoyed using it because it only presents what seems to be, for casual bloggers and non-technical people, useful information, and it looks sharp in the interfacing.like this:

click to see a FireStat example page

One thing that has* had annoyed me tho is that the plug-in only allows allowed ADMINISTRATORS to see the stats. Which… is was lame. I wanted my client to see their stats, you know?

Anyways, I am going through the sources and looking for the Role catcher, when I come across this line in the comments:

file: firestats-wordpress.php

line 119: // if the page is plugins.php dont output anything because we are being activated now and it fuck things up

i love open source, and I especially love you .cc programmers. You rock! haha

*edit 06/30/2008: since I originally posted this note, they have changed many things, not least of which is the ability to allow other user roles to see the stats, thanks again guys!
