What a fabulous day. Sleep in, swim with the kids at the local pool in the beautiful hot sunny day with the amazing breeze blowing. The temperature had to be about 30c but with the water and the wind… WOW. I can’t remember another wicked day like it for a long time. Happy making.
Then me and gramma took the kids downtown to watch the fireworks from the Main St bridge. No pictures though as I brought no camera.
At first I was bored by the show; one or two ‘works shot off at a time. Fairly lackluster. But things got more interesting as the idiots started pulling over in front of us watchers and began backing up traffic on the bridge. It was ridiculous. Especially when one guy figured he’d join the festivities and honk his car horn to some unrecognizable rhythm. I wished I’d had eggs to throw.
Eventually the police would come by and urge people to continue driving, after which a new batch of idiots would pull up as if it was their turn. *sigh* Actually I think the saddest part were the people 4 or 5 cars back who just thought traffic was bad so they were waiting patiently for those ahead to keep driving. I felt like waving them on to go around but then, the fireworks were going, afterall.

Well, it was a beautiful evening, tapering off with a cool breeze. I’m very thankful for the jean jacket I recently picked up.
