What a fabulous day. Sleep in, swim with the kids at the local pool in the beautiful hot sunny day with the amazing breeze blowing. The temperature had to be about 30c but with the water and the wind… WOW. I can’t remember another wicked day like it for a long time. Happy making. I took the kids to a carnival today. It was really fun, we all had a blast. I love bumper cars.
We found a sweet parking stall when we first got there. Essentially the closest row to the fairgrounds. We gathered ourselves; me, malachi, ysoble, and shelby, and we made our way to the edge of the grounds. We approached the Ticket Booth and I purchased 3 wrist bands. And a sheet of tickets for me.

Well, snow is on the ground, my breath mists up, and I am wearing a scarf when I go outside. Winter has begun to creep into the region (and by creep I mean one day it’s +10 the next it’s -5).
This season there happens to be an uncanny abundance of change going on. I am taking on the role of single parent, starting a brand new job, and getting a Wii! I hope I have time to do all three and still get enough sleep.
I have to master a new routine. That being of getting up at 5:30 am, getting the kids to daycare w/ lunches, hitting the Gym, going to work, coming back and grabbing the kids from day care, making supper, pre-planning the following days lunches, clean and organize the house daily, AND still try and manage to talk with friends and play with the kids and partake in my hobbies.
Quite a challenge for a slacker like myself, I’m hoping this does the trick for my stagnated life. Well, not stagnate, just anemic, maybe…
Malachi turned six the other day. He’s so grown up and handsome. Such a big change from the bubble video
I just had a most excellent day with my family and some friends. We went to St. Malo, to the park/beach there. I had never been before.
Ysobel and Malachi totally had a great time swimming and splashing and sand digging. I’m SO happy to see them out and about being full on kids.I read for a good hour, (I’m taking my time on the last Harry Potter book. Loving it, though dreading the fact it’s the last one), as well as swam and stuff… Brian, Kayleen (sp?) and Natalie came along too, they seemed to enjoy themselves.
We got home just as the sky was darkening. The most beautiful red fire-bell sunset (reminds me of a big stop light in the sky) accompanied (aka. blinded) us on the drive home.
The day was 35 degrees or so apparently, but we had nice shade and the water was cool enough to not feel like a bath.
We really should do that again soon.
So we’ve made a few trips over to the new place, dropping off various miscellaneous small things. We need to go through everythign and pack up what we don’t need here (apt) and bring it over. We’re also going to need to bring some food and cooking implements, because it sure gets hungry over there!
This next week schould be interesting.
I was walking to work today with my cellphone in hand, just in case I didn’t feel the vibro, my stomach all clenched and such.
You see, we’ve been having a hard time getting approval on housing, for various reasons, and I was afraid this one would end the same way.
